1. Who we are

TruWise Advisory is a boutique advisory practice with offices in Business Bay, Dubai (UAE) and Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai (India). We provide corporate, compliance, tax, real-estate, private-client and growth advisory services to HNWIs, family offices, entrepreneurs and growing businesses.

2. Information we collect

We collect only the information reasonably necessary to respond to your enquiries and deliver our advisory services. Categories include:

• Contact information — name, email address, phone number, country of residence.
• Enquiry content — the message you submit through our contact or resource-request forms, including any professional or personal context you choose to share.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type and version, device information, referring page, and time-stamped access logs. Retained short-term for security and diagnostics only.
• Cookies & similar technologies — see our Cookies Policy for details.
• Client engagement data — where you engage us formally, additional KYC / AML documentation as required under applicable UAE and Indian regulations (Federal Decree-Law 20/2018, DPDP Act 2023, and equivalent frameworks).

3. How we use your information

• To respond to enquiries and provide the information or advisory services you request.
• To fulfil our engagement letter obligations and communicate about active mandates.
• To meet legal, regulatory, KYC/AML and record-keeping obligations in the jurisdictions we operate in.
• To protect our website against fraud, abuse and unauthorised access.
• To improve the quality of our website and services.

We do not use your information for third-party marketing. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data.

4. Legal basis for processing

Depending on your location, we rely on one or more of the following:

• Consent — when you actively submit a form or opt in to a communication.
• Contractual necessity — when the processing is required to deliver a service you have engaged us for.
• Legal obligation — where UAE, Indian or other applicable law requires us to retain records.
• Legitimate interests — for security, fraud prevention and running our business responsibly, provided your rights are not overridden.

5. Sharing your information

We restrict access to your data to a small number of TruWise partners and authorised personnel. We share information externally only in the following circumstances:

• Regulators & authorities — where legally required (FTA, Ministry of Economy, Reserve Bank of India, etc.).
• Professional counter-parties — auditors, banking partners and specialist counsel — strictly with your prior knowledge and only to the extent required to advance your engagement.
• Service providers — carefully vetted technology providers (hosting, email delivery) bound by confidentiality obligations.

We do not disclose client identities publicly. NDAs are our default posture.

6. International transfers

Because TruWise operates across the UAE and India, personal data may be transferred between these jurisdictions. Any such transfer is protected by appropriate contractual safeguards and complies with the requirements of the UAE Personal Data Protection Law and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act. Where clients are located in other regions (including the EU and UK), we implement additional safeguards where required.

7. Data retention

We retain enquiry data for as long as is reasonably necessary to respond to and follow up on your enquiry, typically not exceeding 24 months. Client engagement records are retained for the period required by professional record-keeping obligations in the UAE and India, typically five to seven years after the engagement concludes.

8. Security

We employ industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect the data we hold, including encrypted connections (TLS), access controls, secure server hardening, rate limiting, and CSRF / bot-protection on our forms. No system is perfectly secure — if you believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

9. Your rights

Subject to the applicable law of your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

• Access — request a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
• Rectification — correct any information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Erasure — request deletion, subject to our legal and regulatory retention obligations.
• Restriction & objection — limit or object to certain processing.
• Withdrawal of consent — withdraw consent to any processing based on consent.
• Complaint — lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office, India's Data Protection Board, or your local data-protection authority.

10. Children

Our services are directed exclusively at adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it.

11. Third-party links

Our website may contain links to external services (Google Maps, LinkedIn, etc.). Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, which we recommend you review.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or applicable law. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version.
